Montagna in Valtellina is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in Lombardy, Italy.
The village is in the average Valtellina. The highest point of the communal territory is the peak of Pizzo Scalino (3323 m). The Davaglione torrent is a typical mountain creek that is born at the alpine alpine pastures above Mara's alpine pasture and crosses the village and flows into the Adda river on the Valtelline valley. Near the cemetery, the Davaglione forms the Pisaloccacon waterfall with a 20 m jump. In the reservoir of the Davaglione stream, interesting "Terra pyramids" occurrence due to accelerated erosion in morainic deposits, including the most characteristic, which has given rise to stories and legends, is the "Capel del Diaul". In the contrada Madonnina there is an 18th century church dedicated to the Madonna of Caravaggio, near the castle of Grumello there are the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate (17th century) and the little church of San Rocco (XII century). At approximately 900 m s.l.m. there are two other churches: Santa Maria Perlungo (XV century) east of the Davaglione stream and the church of St. John the Baptist (XV-XVI century) to the west of the creek. Also on the panoramic road, as soon as you reach Montagna, you will find the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the adjacent Convent of the Cappuccino Fathers, erected between 1961 and '62 on the design of the an. Tirinzoni. At Montagna Piano there is the church of San Giuseppe erected in 1969 by Giulio Conforto Galli.

The remains of two medieval castles are present: the castle of Grumello (today owned by F.A.I.) and the castle of Mancapane (900 m s.l.m.)
